ALUMNI ASSOCIATION:

Traditionally the most successful attempts to enhance the connection between students and alumni have involved the establishment of organization called students alumni Association. They are relatively inexpensive although very effective means of educating students about the Institution and fostering interaction with students and alumni is a person who has graduated from a particular school or college or university. The term can also be used more broadly to refer any former members of a group or institution.

Sri Vidhyodhaya College of Education constituted the alumni association in the name of “Sri Vidhyodhaya College of Education Alumni Association (SVCEAA)” on 10.01.2018 and it was officially registered on 15.07.2024 with the Registration number of SRG/Villupuram/21/2024. The SVCEAA was constituted when the first batch completed their graduation. The SVCEAA functioning very fruitfully from its inception.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION:

The prime aim is to bring the old students of Sri Vidhyodhaya College of Education under one umbrella for sharing experience, dissemination of knowledge and talents amongst its members and also for the advancement of professional knowledge in teaching and education of the community and country.

• Develop, encourage and foster relationship and fellowship among the students, teachers and administrative staff of the past and present of Sri Vidhyodhaya College of Education
• Extend maximum help to the college in the internship and placement of students in ostensible institutions
• Conduct campus interviews, job fairs, donate books, environmental cleaning and eco-friendly activities
• Represent and participate in seminars, conferences, workshops and meetings of teaching fraternities for the promotion of professional knowledge and skills in teaching and education
• Organize socio-cultural events in the college

The Alumni of our college much contribute for the development and welfare of the college. Many of our alumni's serving in various cells and communities constituted by the college for transparent administration, effective functioning and upliftment of the college. Every year the Alumni contribute furniture like almirah and equipment like computers, printers, RO water purifier etc for welfare of the students as well as the management. The Alumni also suggests to introduce value added and job oriented short term courses in the college.

SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION:

An attribute often associated with success is the identification of a mentor who will assist students in their transition from college to the world of work. Alumni are particularly well suited to this task, as they are able to draw on their experiences in helping students to explore the world of work, network, find jobs etc. Indeed, there are many benefits to having Alumni work closely with students especially as they make their initial career decisions.

CAREER GUIDANCE AND PLACEMENTS:

The alumni of SVCE are working in various schools in different capacities. They are invited for career guidance and guest sessions for the newly admitted students. During the sessions they of guidance to the students about the recent trends in the teaching profession and the current labour market information.

MENTORING FOR INTERNSHIP:

The Alumni of our college plays a dominant role serving as mentors for the B.Ed 2nd year students of our college during their internship, making them more confident in completing their internship
